I have a hazy appearance in my finish.
In cold or humid conditions, especially when combined with poor ventilation, the solvents in a coating may evaporate but then settle back on to the coating, causing a haze. Some timber species contain high levels of natural extractives such as oils and resins. These can sometimes show up as a haze that occurs on the coating when the weather is cold or humid. When coating, make sure the ventilation is adequate, so that the solvent can't build up in the air above the surface. Wash surface with a specialised interior timber coating cleaner. Multiple washes may be required, until the haze stops appearing.
